Responsibilities

The Blending Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and documenting computer-controlled blending and clean-in-place systems in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

The role involves ensuring consistent product quality, accurate documentation, and safe operation of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preparation, operation, monitoring, and documentation of computer-controlled blending processes.

Weighing, documenting, and staging batch ingredients using a computer-controlled weight system.

Preparation, operation, monitoring, and documentation of a computer-controlled clean-in-place (CIP) system used for manufacturing equipment such as tanks and heat treatment systems.

Performing product line work operations including standardization and final water addition using ingredients, flavors, and oils.

Maintaining GMP compliance through routine cleaning of equipment, general area upkeep, and preventive maintenance.

Adhering to batch work orders and job procedures while maintaining accurate documentation.

Receiving and transporting bulk raw ingredients and CIP chemicals.

Preparing, operating, monitoring, and documenting bulk slurries for blending operations.

Preparing, operating, monitoring, and documenting computer-controlled heat treatment processes.

Performing and supporting other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Some college or vocational schooling is desired.

Experience:

Prior food manufacturing or similar batch process experience with a strong emphasis on GMP and computer-controlled systems is desired.

Skills:

Strong written, verbal, computer, and mechanical skills; excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work safely in a team environment; ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, make decisive decisions, and use problem-solving skills while maintaining product quality and GMP standards at all times.
