Plant Buyer III
Location: Deland, FL (on‑site)
Compensation: $78,000.00–$92,800.00 annually.

The Plant Buyer III plays a critical role in tactical procurement, inventory management, and supplier oversight, ensuring alignment with the Danaher Materials System and compliance with operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Purchase Order Lifecycle Management: Create and maintain purchase orders daily, ensuring accuracy and timely execution throughout their lifecycle.
Inventory Management: Analyze demand data to support short‑ and long‑term purchasing decisions, maintaining optimal inventory levels and continuity of supply.
Supplier Management: Cultivate strong vendor relationships and promote the attributes of preferred suppliers to enhance performance and reliability.
Material Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve inventory challenges such as shortages or excess, using data‑driven problem‑solving and implementing effective countermeasures.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to ensure material continuity, drive process improvements, and lead initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience.
Essential Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning or buyer functions within a supply chain or logistics environment. OR equivalent to 6+ years of relevant experience in buying or supply chain roles.
Proven ability to work with internal and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolution of material priorities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey requirements effectively.
Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including demand and supply forecasting, inventory control, and lot restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency using Excel and ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and of planning “best practices”, including Supplier PULL Systems, Vendor Managed Inventory, Lean Daily Management, and lean improvement events.
Demonstrated experience in developing supplier relationships and driving implementation of optimal purchasing patterns.
Experience in a global manufacturing environment.
