Location: Salt Lake City, UT Compensation
$1,056 per instructional unit. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Teaches one or more Interior Design classes. Uses an e-portfolio for projects. Follows the course curriculum outline, prepares and delivers lectures, and guides classroom activities. Becomes familiar with and abides by all college policies governing interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments. Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Provides appropriate and timely feedback for all assignments; returns graded assignments promptly per department standards. Maintains student attendance records (for Financial Aid purposes) and grades; conducts evaluations of student performance. Informs students of progress and assigns/submits grades by published deadlines. Maintains a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment. Represents incidents as needed using appropriate reporting; complies with Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities policies. Maintains professional and collegial behavior; handles/responds to student concerns/complaints and inquiries promptly (generally within 1-2 days). Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College policy; completes required employee trainings; knows and enforces FERPA guidelines; provides ADA accommodations as requested. Other job-related duties as needed; communicates effectively with a broad range of people and maintains good working relationships across the College. All faculty will maintain an on-site campus presence to encourage in-person relationships and meaningful learning experiences unless approved for online-only courses. Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree with 2 or more years of professional industry experience. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor Degree. Prior teaching experience. Employment Terms
You are employed as an Adjunct Faculty member / Instructor on a contract-to-contract basis, with no guaranteed future employment. Your employment may be terminated At Will at any time. Additional Information
Adjunct positions are offered on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of continued employment. Official transcripts may be required for those offered employment within 30 days of hire.
