Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to become a part of our team! In this role, you will provide essential support to meet the business needs of our attorneys. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including document preparation, case management, court filings, and client communication. This role requires knowledge of civil court procedures, excellent multitasking skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities
Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, scanning, and organizing legal records. Prepare and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence. File legal documents electronically (e-filing) in state and federal courts. Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, client meetings, and court deadlines. Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and witness lists. Maintain case files and legal databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel. Conduct basic legal research and summarize findings under attorney supervision. Track and manage deadlines for discovery, filings, and court appearances. Qualifications
2+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in civil litigation. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and multitask Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
