Job Overview
Senior Office Assistant – responsible for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and providing front‑desk support to clinic patients by phone, fax, and in person. The role promotes excellent customer service, supports the Clinic Manager in daily operations, and handles cash deposits, drawer reconciliation, and petty cash management. Responsibilities
Sends medical reports per patient request according to HIPAA and clinic/hospital protocol. Answers phone in a professional and courteous manner, creates patient cases, and schedules patients as required. Assists front desk with patient check‑in and check‑out as needed. Monitors and ensures assigned queues in Athena are worked daily. Daily deposit, cash drawer reconciliation, and petty cash management. Ensures cleanliness of the waiting room. Assists with patient care coordination calls. Provides general administrative assistance to the Clinic Manager. Continual surveillance and proactive participation in ongoing Infection Prevention and Control measures in accordance with the policies located in the Infection Control Manual on MCN. Qualifications
Minimum Required Experience: 1‑3 years of clerical experience or equivalent education. Preferred Experience: 4‑6 years of clerical experience or degree in office management. Minimum Required Education: High School/GED. Preferred Education: Courses in medical office administration and/or medical terminology. Minimum Required Licenses: None. Preferred Licenses: None.
