Provide clinical administrative support to the assigned ambulatory area. Assist in the preparation of monthly activity reports by compiling statistical data related to clinic services as needed. Serve as a resource for providers and staff regarding referral and authorization processes. Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures, including registration activities such as entering and/or verifying demographic, insurance and financial information; generate routine forms and other documentation. Manage EPIC Referral Work Queues (WQs). Answer phones and prioritize incoming mail, faxes and correspondence. Advise patients on insurance carrier requirements, including services not covered; obtain documentation and collect patient co-pays. Apply understanding of prior authorization (ABN) needs and waiver of liability patient signatures. Obtain insurance authorizations and referrals; manage denial processes in an accurate and efficient manner. Accept assignments to other areas and perform additional administrative support duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree and two (2) years of relevant patient financial/insurance services experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of medical terminology and excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume setting; excellent customer service and strong computer skills. Preferred Qualifications

Working knowledge of computer systems such as Epic, Word, Outlook, etc., and understanding of insurances and referrals. Coordination of care / release of information skills. Work Days
