AdventHealth Orlando – flagship hospital on a lush tropical campus Located on a 1,368-bed campus and serves as a major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America Houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country Provides service to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year Role Responsibilities
The Referral Coordinator is responsible for all incoming referrals called into or submitted to OurLegacy from the Donor Service Area. They will collect the relevant medical information to assist in donor eligibility evaluation for organ or tissue donation and direct the referral to the appropriate organ and/or tissue teams for follow up. This role may require extended work hours during periods of high activity and involves outstanding customer service with respectful interactions across all stakeholders. Value Youll Bring To The Team
Assumes 12-hour responsibility for organ and tissue referral activity and provides prompt response during a 12-hour period Performs thorough patient evaluation for organ and tissue donation and recognizes brain death as it relates to donation suitability Provides exceptional customer service to donor service area hospitals and maintains cordial, respectful relationships with hospital personnel Communicates medical screening information to Supervisor/Lead as appropriate Qualifications
High School Grad or Equivalent Required 2 years of Medical call center or doctor’s office experience 2 years of experience in trauma center, emergency care, or other critical care areas 1 year of Organ Procurement Organization (OPO), Eye and Tissue Donation experience Driver's License (DL) This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
