Protege Hunters has an Immediate opportunity for a savvy IT Desktop Support Analyst Tier specialist. Ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background and a track record of providing advanced technical support and maintaining the operational efficiency of IT systems specifically within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and a customer service-oriented mindset to ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure and enhance user satisfaction. This includes Office 365 configuration and end-user support for the entire office suite.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science or a related field desired. CompTIA A+ certification preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in a similar position. Previous experience with setup/troubleshooting thermal printers is a plus.

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and advanced understanding of computer systems (Windows & Mac) connected in LAN/WAN environments. Advanced knowledge of desktop/laptop and printer repair.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical people.

Problem-Solving: Motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.

Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Language Skills: Ability to speak/understand Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

System Maintenance and Configuration: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, system backups, and network configurations to ensure optimal performance and security within the manufacturing environment.

Configure and install various computer and Windows servers, integrating new hardware and applications under the supervision of a senior engineer if needed.

Deploy and configure hardware, including workstations, monitors, and peripherals.

Support IT security measures and protocols, including antivirus updates and patch management.

Handle escalated technical issues from Tier 1 support, providing in-depth analysis and resolution.

Maintenance: Maintain endpoint backup software and antivirus software.

Audio/Visual Support: Support audio and video equipment in conference rooms.

Equipment Management: Move computer and printer equipment as needed. Setup/configure computer equipment for onboarding and offboarding.

Asset Management: Maintain the Asset Management database to reflect current hardware allocation.

Special Projects: Work on special projects as needed.

Ticket Management: Review, prioritize, take ownership, and resolve IT requests from the ticketing system. Incidents and requests may be submitted via phone calls, emails, IMs, or in person.

Policy Enforcement: Work with Microsoft Intune to push out updates and policies to desktops and laptops.

Mobile Device Support: Setup and support Android scanners and tablets on the production floor.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security procedures.

Provide remote and potentially on-site support for manufacturing equipment, workstations, servers, and other IT devices.

Excellent Verbal and Written Skills are mandatory.
