Purpose of Position The Base Maintenance Planner plans scheduled maintenance to reduce the impact of aircraft maintenance, maximizing event yields while minimizing downtime & cost. Coordinates planning activities with Flight Operations, Base Station Managers, Suppliers, Materials, MCC and Line Planning. Plans maintenance events around peak period flight periods to provide aircraft availability to meet operational needs. Ensures that all maintenance requirements comply with NetJets Approved Aircraft Inspection Programs, Continuous Inspection Programs, Regulatory Requirements and company requirements.
Tasks And Responsibilities
Creates, maintains, and publishes the long‑term base maintenance plan (0 to 12 months) that meets operational needs while maximizing yield and reducing cost, providing maximum aircraft availability.
Plans and schedules both short and long‑term maintenance requirements, time‑limited component changes, while working closely with Line Planning to plan Deferred Maintenance Items.
Develops work packages for NetJets designated Maintenance Base Stations, taking into account requirements such as maintenance skills, tools, materials, available man‑hours, and ground time.
Acts as a single point of contact for coordination with designated Base Stations to ensure aircraft requiring maintenance tasks are properly planned for and communicated with third‑party maintenance providers.
Reviews scheduled maintenance program for opportunities to improve planning, e.g., task escalation, optimizing repairs, and fleet campaigns.
Monitors inspection interval utilization, communicates and resolves potential scheduling with Master Schedulers, carries out aircraft improvements in accordance with warranty coverage, provides feedback on fleet compliance and inspection programs.
Completes additional projects, campaigns, and initiatives as required to enhance company or department goals which directly affect financial and operational metrics.
Education Associate's in Aviation
Certifications and Licenses FAA Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certificate and/or 4‑College‑Year Degree in Business or Aviation related fields (desirable but not required)
