The Electrical Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipment and systems. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The technician will support maintenance, operations, and quality control with repairs and redesigns to meet production goals, as well as respond to emergency repair requests. Responsibilities
Work with low to high voltage systems (24VDC to 480VAC 3-Phase), applying proper wiring practices and standards. Assist and/or lead in troubleshooting and repair of down production equipment containing computers, sensors, motors, PLCs, etc. Both electrical and some mechanical. Root cause analysis of electrical and mechanical issues and assist in implementing corrective actions. Perform continuous improvement activities for quality and throughput. Assist in the fabrication, installation, start-up, and commissioning of new production equipment and systems including new technology integration. Assist with parts research and inventory. Keep accurate records of maintenance activities. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and work orders to perform necessary maintenance tasks and service. Occasionally required to operate a boom lift. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or certifications in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Maintenance related fields Proficient knowledge and understanding of electromechanical systems and building power systems Knowledge of wiring standards and ability to work with 24VDC through 480VAC 3-Phase Ability to test systems with devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters Ability to troubleshoot and modify PLCs Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools such as wrenches, drills, saws, etc. Ability to communicate effectively and work with multidisciplinary teams Ability to prioritize time and handle multiple projects Mechanical ability to support and assist with mechanical repairs of equipment Physical Demands And Work Environment
