Based in Hollywood, FL, Sintavia, LLC designs and additively manufactures critical components for the Aerospace, Defense, & Space industry.
We are seeking a career-minded individual for the position of Quality Inspector, preferably someone who is looking for long-term growth and potential. SUMMARY:
Responsible for Final, In process and Setup/First Part inspections in accordance to AS9100 procedures, work instructions, training/certifications and customer requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inspect products using various inspection gages and visual inspection prior to product shipment
Variable data collection and completion of inspection records
Verification of certifications and testing of incoming raw materials
Examine material or product for surface defects such as cracks, pits, and other surface irregularities
Solid experience and understanding of GD&T methods
Knowledge of operating a CMM
3D Blue Light Scanning
Compare product with applicable parts list or sample model to ensure completion of assembly.
Verifies dimensional compliance of all products with drawing and customer requirements.
Interpret engineering drawings and confer with Management or Engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
Document nonconforming products with NMR process and define disposition with MRB support
Perform in-process inspection and testing of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with all applicable mechanical and process related requirements.
Assist in other tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent; college or trade school preferred
ASQ or other certifications a plus
QA, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Certificate of training or 1-2 years aerospace inspection
Knowledge of Metrology Hand Tools (Micrometer, Caliper, Dial Indicator, etc.)
Polyworks Inspector CMM programing experience a plus
ATOS/GOM 3D optical scanning and inspection a plus
Must be a highly motivated self‑starter that can identify potential problems and collaborate with management to take action
Must possess willingness to assist where needed to ensure the company meets its goals and objectives on time
Must possess time management skills
Willing to learn and apply new skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
Demonstrated ability to work well with cross‑functional groups
Self‑motivated, able to multi‑task, and detail oriented
Strong organizational, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
Background checks and Drug Screenings will be completed on all candidates considered for hire.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma from an accredited institution
Familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel
Must be able to learn procedures quickly and be a team player
Easily adapt to new organizations / technical environments
Project management on small to medium projects
Must be able to perform a variety of routine tasks and demonstrate a good working knowledge of equipment, procedures and working with common hand tools
PREFERRED:
Manufacturing experience preferred
Aerospace experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequently required to sit, walk, or stand
Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
Frequently required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
Work on Specialized equipment
