Mission To operate Automated Inspection Equipment (AIE) utilizing software programs to measure dimensions on castings and fixtures, verify measurement printouts from Tech Card information for non-conforming parts to meet PCC and customer specifications.
Principal Accountabilities
Automated Inspection Equipment (AIE) Operations
Position castings on the automated inspection equipment per instructions.
Select and load appropriate programs into the machine, per tech cards or SOPs.
Place and remove scale bars and reference targets according to tech cards, PCPs, and SOPs.
Initiate and monitor programs; operate AIE computers, software, and equipment.
Respond to computer instructions and error messages during AIE operations.
Calibrate and maintain AIE equipment per PCPs.
Notify Metrology Analyst, AIE Technician or 3D Scanning Engineer of errors or issues outside normal functionality.
Complete daily and weekly operator checklists for AI Equipment.
Maintain peripheral equipment (painting and washing systems).
Coordinate part and job movement to support operations.
Inspection Evaluation
Review and interpret AIE inspection printouts.
Mark parts for rework operations.
Supply reports and documentation on compliance with specifications.
Generate layout inspection reports on computer.
Test and troubleshoot inspection programs.
Generate new techcards and upgrade older ones.
Create airfoil contour plots and other specialized output.
Safety
Adhere to plant and department safety rules.
Safely operate all equipment and tools.
Identify and report safety problems.
Complete all logs and records.
Meet all production and quality standards.

Qualifications
Must Have
Ability to read, follow and interpret instructions on SOPs, Quality Control Manuals, Technique Cards, and technical specifications.
Basic mathematical calculations, geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to read blueprints.
Effective oral and written communication.
Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Flexibility and accountability for each qualification.
Good communication skills.
Preferred
GD & T Training
Geometric dimensioning and tolerances experience.
Computer data entry and operation experience.
ATOS scanning experience.
Polyworks software experience (imInspect and imEdit).
