The Senior Manager, Business Strategy, you’ll be the strategic program integrator who ensures that every strategic initiative entering the Customer Engagement Services (CES) pipeline is aligned with our most critical business priorities. You’ll lead programs affecting Operations, Product, Technology, Data & Analytics, VOX, and CX, ensuring smooth delivery and driving our transformation agenda forward. The Senior Manager, Business Strategy, reports directly to the Director, Business Strategy with a mission to create effortless experiences that reduce friction, optimize cost to serve, and elevate satisfaction – you align strategy, governance, and execution to deliver measurable outcomes, accelerate innovation, and ensure every interaction reflects Walmart’s values.
What you'll do
Strategic planning: Define strategic objectives, develop integrated roadmaps with clear milestones and KPIs, and ensure alignment with AOP and LRP goals.
Drive Program Execution: Coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact programs with transparency, accountability, and agility.
Enable Strategic Visibility: Provide leadership with real‑time insights into program health, risks, and performance metrics.
Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve cross‑functional issues, and clear roadblocks to ensure program success.
Stakeholder Management: Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership and facilitate collaboration, communication, and decision‑making across internal teams and external stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience in program or portfolio management, ideally in a large, matrixed organization.
Strong strategic thinking and operational execution skills.
Strong business and financial acumen.
Ability to influence across levels and functions.
Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma, change management, or enterprise planning tools.
Experience leading large cross‑functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Program Management, or related field and 5 years’ experience in Business Operations, Project Management, Program Management, Supply Chain or Procurement, or related area.
Excellent customer service and the ability to motivate and lead a team.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 4 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications Leading cross‑functional teams, Supervisory experience.
