Supply Chain Procurement Specialist

Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Supply Chain Procurement Specialist for an electronic manufacturing company in Rochester, NY.
General Responsibilities The supply chain specialist is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing electronic components and all other materials as needed to support the organization.
Specific Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate suppliers of electronic components, ensuring they meet quality and reliability standards.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure the most favorable terms.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast future supply needs to prevent shortages or overstock supplies utilizing planning tools available in SAP.
Order materials for production based on recommendations from MRP and as requested by the production supervisor.
Purchase raw materials, equipment, and supplies to satisfy both customer orders and site operations (office supplies, etc).
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand component specifications and requirements.
Identify parts that are becoming obsolete and work with engineering to identify and order alternative options.
Review and analyze purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of components.
Expedite material from suppliers when required.
Coordinate the return of the rejected material to our suppliers for credit and/or replacement.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Stay informed about market trends, pricing changes, obsolescence of parts, and new suppliers in the electronics industry.
Resolve any issues related to procurement, including quality concerns, or delivery delays.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities, budget compliance, cost savings and inventory status for management review.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the electronics or manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience preferred.
Compensation Compensation:
$70,000-$90,000 per year
