Position Shipping Lead

Location Jupiter, FL/Stuart FL.

Status Hourly Non-Exempt

Job Summary The Shipping Lead is responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing outbound shipments in accordance with customer, carrier, and company requirements. This hands‑on position supports warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment to stage, load, and move materials. The role ensures accurate documentation, proper labeling, and on‑time delivery while maintaining compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, package, and stage outbound materials for domestic and international shipments.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, strapping machines, and other warehouse material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are properly secured and protected during transport.

Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation accurately.

Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure shipments are dispatched on time.

Communicate with warehouse, logistics, and production teams to resolve shipment issues or delays.

Follow all TSA, DOT, and OSHA compliance requirements and adhere to company safety policies.

Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall warehouse operations.

Education & Experience

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

Minimum 2 years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience.

Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, strapping machines, and other warehouse equipment required.

Experience with RF scan guns, shipping software, and carrier portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.) preferred.

Familiarity with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and accurately.

Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.

Must be available for overtime or weekend work as needed.

Physical Requirements

Climbing – ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

Balancing – maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

Stooping/Crouching – bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Kneeling – bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.

Reaching – extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Standing – particularly for sustained periods of time.

Walking – moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Pushing & Pulling.

Lifting up to 50 lbs – raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.

Grasping – applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Repetitive motion – substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Close visual acuity required to prepare and analyze data and figures, transcribe, view a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small parts, and use of measurement devices.

Environmental conditions include activities inside and outside, exposure to noise, hazards such as moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, high heat or chemicals, and work in narrow aisles or passageways.

Requires significant travel (air & ground) with short notice.

Must be able to wear required PPE such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc.
