Continuous Improvement Manager - Arvato
Arvato is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to drive process and system improvements across multiple sites. The role provides leadership, planning, process development, and Lean implementation coaching to meet strategic goals defined by site leadership. You will lead activities coordinated with other site-based Continuous Improvement Coordinators to improve operational excellence. Responsibilities
Confers with management teams across multiple sites to align continuous improvement goals and objectives. Identify areas with other functional leaders, employees, and customers to develop lean opportunities for improvement. Network with internal/external resources to bring best practices to lean projects and the organization. Develop, communicate and deliver training materials for Lean processes and principles, plus other necessary materials. Provide education and mentoring to employees on Lean principles and techniques. Facilitate and lead the continuous improvement process by identifying training needs and providing training in problem solving methodology, Kaizen, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping, etc. Ensure open communication throughout the site by keeping management informed of project status and coordinating Lean activities. Manage the development and maintenance of methods and systems for measuring project goals, objectives and metrics. Planning and Execution
Engage, educate and inspire site leadership to identify and document meaningful short- and long-term goals using Lean-Six Sigma methodologies. Create metrics, deployment goals, and objectives to drive accountability. Lead the implementation of Lean programs from inception to completion. Manage planning, facilitation and completion of Lean projects to support cost reduction objectives. Provide input and feedback to key leadership about process improvement opportunities. Lead efforts to develop and deliver training. Evaluate the performance or ability of employees to understand and apply lean principles. Monitor activity levels of continuous improvement teams and alert management when additional support is needed. Maintain current knowledge of lean performance principles and keep the organization informed. Organize, plan and deliver updates on project status; model operational excellence and change management behaviors. Your Profile
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in logistics, industrial or project engineering; MBA beneficial. Minimum 5 years’ field experience with 2–3 years in a management/leadership role. Experience leading cross-functional, multi-site change management initiatives. Experience organizing, planning and facilitating improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping). Ability to coach, mentor and train teams or individuals in a hybrid/remote environment. Language Skills: Ability to read, interpret safety rules and manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, and speak effectively before groups. Mathematical Skills: Proficiency with mathematical concepts and applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization; interpret various instructions. Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; advanced Excel preferred. Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), and the ability to motivate and develop others; resilient and able to manage diverse initiatives and workforce. Lean Experience: Fully versed in Six Sigma/TQM techniques; Black Belt or Green Belt training preferred. Project and Change Management: Ability to coach individuals or small groups, manage multiple projects, and apply conflict management skills. Travel and Location: Some travel required; ability to commute or relocate to 2500 Export Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40219. Other: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Benefits
