Job Description The Mechanical Maintenance Technician Lead works alongside and guides the Maintenance Technicians in their daily routines and duties as needed. At times, they will work independently performing maintenance activities, and along with the Instrument & Controls Lead, this position prioritizes preventative maintenance and other repair activities. This role maintains and leads the shift to the highest standard regarding professional attitude toward work and safety. It ensures that equipment, machinery, general repairs, installation of new equipment/systems, and preventative maintenance programs are carried out efficiently and properly.

Key Responsibilities
Assists and works alongside the Maintenance Technicians in performing proper diagnosis of any malfunctioning machinery, general repairs, installing new equipment and systems, and preventative maintenance programs on all assigned machinery
Installs or directs the installation of new equipment or rearranges existing equipment
Maintains an inventory of spare parts
Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant in good running order
Leads by example and practices good safety procedures to keep self and others injury free; follows EHS policies and procedures
Performs and/or directs preventative maintenance on plant facilities and equipment as well as Mobile/Service DI water treatment equipment
Provides leadership to the Maintenance staff and directs the maintenance operations during the shift
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Associate's Degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines
Minimum of 3 years of Electrical install, repair, and maintenance work experience to include electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and maintenance experience
Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired

Qualifications Education & Experience
Required:
HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 year mechanical repair and maintenance work experience.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a shift lead role.
Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record history.
Preferred (if applicable):
Associate Degree or Trade School Certificate in Mechanical / Industrial Maintenance.
5 year mechanical repair and maintenance work experience.
3 year experience in a lead role.
Additional Information Working Conditions
Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity.
Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities.
