Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians at the SPSC manufacturing site. This key role ensures precision maintenance, effective workflow processes, scheduled work completion, and excellent customer service to operations teams. This is a great role for a person with a technical background looking for leadership experience.
Key Responsibilities
Direct and coordinate maintenance activities across water treatment facilities.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for water treatment equipment.
Ensure compliance with EPA regulations, water quality standards, and safety protocols.
Oversee maintenance of pumps, motors, chemical feed systems, and filtration equipment.
Monitor and optimize plant performance through SCADA systems.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets and asset management strategies.
Coordinate with operations teams to minimize service disruptions.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
Assist maintenance technicians in diagnosis and repairs, new equipment installation, and preventive maintenance programs.
Lead by example and practice good safety procedures to keep self and others injury free.
Perform and/direct preventive maintenance on plant facilities and equipment.
Provide leadership to the maintenance staff and direct maintenance operations.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of electrical install, repair, and maintenance work experience including electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming, and 480V 3 Phase electrical repair and maintenance experience.
Experience with water treatment processes and chemistry.
Regulatory compliance requirements knowledge.
Preventive maintenance best practices knowledge.
Safety protocols and environmental standards knowledge.
Trade school experience for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly desired.
Electrical certification.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
3+ years of maintenance experience in water/wastewater treatment.
Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment.
Proven leadership and project management skills.
Minimum of 2 years of PVC plumbing or mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record history.
Location St. Louis, MO
Compensation $65,000.00–$70,000.00 per year
