Our client, a leading global hedge fund, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join their team in New York. The ideal candidate will serve as a key compliance resource across trading, investment, and operational functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting the development and enhancement of compliance programs. Manage the onboarding of contributors to various research and insight platforms, including sell-side programs, financial professionals, and public company management. Oversee compliance programs for internal analysts and research platforms, with a focus on discretionary and fundamental research. Develop, implement, and standardize internal policies across the group. Liaise with business partners to understand and address their operational and compliance needs. Collaborate with in-house legal teams on counterparty contracts and licenses in the research space. Research and monitor emerging laws and regulations impacting financial information, securities, investment management, technology, and machine learning. Conduct compliance testing and surveillance, including integrations with data/software systems and coordination with engineering teams. Job Requirements
5-7 years of experience working as a compliance professional, regulatory lawyer, or experience as a regulatory consultant. Experience building and operating systems for testing and surveillance that relies on data integrations.
