District Maintenance Specialist (Transportation Specialist I-V) - Atlanta, TX
Join the Texas Department of Transportation as a District Maintenance Specialist (Transportation Specialist I-V) in Atlanta, TX. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and coordination for transportation programs involving maintenance of highways and bridge inspection and appraisal in accordance with Department standards. Responsibilities:
Coordinates programs and projects to enhance efficiency and streamline operations. Prepares bridge inspection follow-up worksheet for maintenance and gives instruction for recommended actions; monitors follow-up actions taken by maintenance. Provides technical expertise and coordination for maintenance operations including prioritizing projects, monitoring correspondence and writing memorandums and reports. Reviews and maintains files which indicate the condition of the bridge inventory and documents compliance with bridge inspection manuals. Travels to districts and maintenance offices to perform site visits and monitor maintenance programs. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline. 2-5 years of transportation design, construction, traffic operations, maintenance, bridge inspection experience. Valid driver’s license. Benefits:
