Base pay range $180,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr
My client is a nationally recognized commercial construction leader, with a distinguished portfolio of complex and high‑stakes projects.
They possess specialized expertise in the design and construction of Mission Critical facilities and Data Centers, delivering resilient, secure, and technologically advanced infrastructure for their clients.
They are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Project executive with extensive experience in Mission Critical and Data Center construction to lead and oversee their most complex projects in the Oklahoma region.
Key Duties:
Provide executive-level leadership and oversight for multiple large-scale Mission Critical and Data Center construction projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact and cultivate strong, long‑term relationships with key clients.
Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and other project staff.
Collaborate closely with preconstruction teams to ensure accurate budgeting, scheduling, and constructability for Mission Critical projects.
Develop and implement strategic project plans that address the critical operational and security requirements of Data Center environments.
Oversee all aspects of project execution, including site management, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and safety protocols.
Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute tiers), and regulatory requirements.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with Mission Critical construction, including potential disruptions to critical systems.
Manage project financials, including budget control, forecasting, and change order management, with a focus on the unique cost considerations of Data Center projects.
Drive innovation and the adoption of best practices in Mission Critical construction methodologies and technologies.
Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Participate in business development activities, leveraging expertise to secure new Mission Critical and Data Center projects.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing project team environment.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural preferred), or a related field.
Minimum of 15+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction project management, with a significant and demonstrable focus on Mission Critical and Data Center projects.
Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex, large-scale Data Center projects from inception to completion.
Deep understanding of critical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, security systems, and network infrastructure within Data Center environments.
Familiarity with industry standards and certifications relevant to Data Centers (e.g., Uptime Institute, BICSI).
Exceptional leadership, communication (both written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
Strong financial acumen and experience managing large project budgets.
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Valid driver's license.
