Contractor Service Administrator (Facilities)
Contractor Service Administrator (Facilities) at SpaceX. Responsible for managing and coordinating multiple service contracts for maintenance of SpaceX facilities.
Overview SpaceX is preparing to launch at an incredible tempo out of multiple launch complexes and process more payloads than ever. Existing and future SpaceX facilities are dynamic, adapting to changing requirements. The Contractor Service Administrator coordinates and manages service contracts to support facilities maintenance and related services.
Responsibilities
Manage, coordinate, and act as the liaison for multiple service contracts (e.g., janitorial, DI water systems, pest control, fuel distribution, landscaping, waste management, etc.).
Partner with Purchasing on the RFP/bid process for multiple service contracts.
Coordinate operational schedules for vendors to avoid impacting SpaceX operations.
Work with suppliers to improve efficiency in service delivery.
Ensure vendors meet SpaceX, Air Force, and NASA standards while delivering services, materials, and workmanship within the agreed timeframe.
Manage the flow of operational requests and follow through on tasks requiring vendor support as SpaceX engages in ongoing service contracts.
Interact with tradespeople, contractors, and building officials to coordinate and execute maintenance and repair of facilities support equipment.
Direct system repairs of facilities, HVAC, electrical systems, fire protection, water and plumbing, paint, and grounds keeping.
Coordinate and facilitate furniture requests to align with site standards.
Manage fleet vehicle requests, insurance, tags, and maintenance with the automotive shop.
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
Facilities Management Professional (FMP), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
Capability organizing work with multiple trades.
Degree in architecture, engineering, project management, construction management or related field.
Organized and self-driven, capable of working independently with little direction.
Innovative and futuristic thinking to drive continuous improvement.
Additional Requirements
Ability to pass Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral.
Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support in emergency situations.
Must be comfortable working in a high-stress environment balancing several projects and adaptable to strategic changes.
