Overview
Georgia Power is seeking a highly experienced
Senior Project Scheduler
to support large-scale Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects. The ideal candidate will have
10+ years of proven scheduling experience
in the utilities or energy sector, with advanced expertise in
Primavera P6 . This role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing project schedules to ensure successful delivery of critical infrastructure projects on time and within budget. Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for transmission lines, substations, and related T&D projects using
Primavera P6 . Integrate engineering, procurement, permitting, and construction activities into a fully networked project schedule. Monitor project progress, analyze schedule variances, and provide forecasts to project managers and stakeholders. Support risk management by identifying schedule risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Facilitate regular schedule review meetings with project teams, contractors, and management. Coordinate with cost analysts to align schedules with budget and resource plans. Provide schedule status reporting, critical path analysis, and earned value performance metrics. Ensure compliance with Georgia Power’s project controls standards, scheduling guidelines, and reporting requirements. Qualifications
10+ years
of experience as a project scheduler, preferably in the electric utility or power delivery sector. Expert proficiency in Primavera P6
(planning, resource loading, baseline development, and progress measurement). Strong knowledge of
T&D project lifecycle
including engineering, permitting, procurement, and construction phases. Proven ability to manage multiple schedules for concurrent projects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex schedule data and communicate findings clearly. Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field preferred. Preferred Experience
