Job Overview This role involves analyzing and administering the technical architecture of LAN and WAN systems, coordinating the WNOC group, and serving as the lead point of contact for government and customers seeking technical assistance.

Responsibilities

Research, run tests, evaluate, and recommend telecommunication and data network systems.

Analyze workload, traffic, and utilization trends.

Interface with users, consultants, technical teams, and vendors to determine appropriate hardware installations.

Support complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks throughout the organization.

Test and evaluate hardware and software to assess efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems.

Analyze test data and recommend hardware or software purchases.

Work with minimal supervision; handle complex issues, escalating only the most complex to higher-level staff.

Coordinate scheduling for the WNOC group supporting COTHEN and LMR.

Serve as the lead point of contact for government and customers seeking technical assistance.

Coordinate training for new contract staff and provide documentation for daily, weekly, and monthly reports from the ticketing system and databases.

Qualifications

Active DoD Secret clearance required.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL v3, CompTIA, CCNA.

Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Networking, or Telecommunications.

Minimum of five years of Tier 1 support operations experience.

Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, topology, and basic troubleshooting.

Hands‑on experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.

Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills for efficient issue resolution.

Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, technical teams, and management.
