South Chesterfield, VA What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist who will be responsible for counting parts and controlling the accuracy of inventory at HillPhoenix. The role will establish new locations, maintain inventory location plans, inspect and locate materials, unload incoming freight, move materials from the receiving dock to production lines, transfer production from the fabrication department, move finished goods to the shipping dock, and load outgoing freight. Essential Competencies
Cycle count parts Control accuracy of inventory Evaluate potential parts shortages Participate in all physical inventory tasks Assist with corrective actions on part shortages Report inventory discrepancies Implement inventory location plans, maintain inventory locations, and establish new inventory locations as needed Ensure that all items are properly located, stored and identified Control, inspect, and locate materials and inventory in the plant Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of inventory storage locations Perform various material handling duties (fork truck, shipping truck, hand truck, etc.) Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of physical plant, keep aisles, docks swept free of debris Must have prompt and regular attendance Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Quantifiable Competencies
Minimum 3 years of inventory control/audit experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Forklift license Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills Experience in auditing process and products Excellent organizational and time management skills High school diploma or GED Above average math skills Knowledge of parts and products produced Above average computer skills Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently Accuracy in checking and counting Team player Preferred Competencies
Forklift truck certified AS400 Experience Strengths Needed for This Role
Ability to be trainable Computer literate and proficient Benefits
