Weaver, a full-service national accounting, advisory, and consulting firm, is seeking a State and Local Tax (SALT) Manager to lead our Income and Franchise Tax division. The SALT team specializes in navigating state income, franchise, and gross receipts taxes, providing compliance, advisory, and controversy services to our clients. Responsibilities
Plan, supervise, and review state income, franchise, consolidated, and combined tax returns for businesses and individuals. Stay informed of tax law changes across states and communicate key issues and updates to clients and the firm. Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of SALT experience in a public accounting firm, focusing on compliance and consulting for state income and franchise taxes. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA, CMI, or JD certification. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Accounting or related field. Experience managing and mentoring staff. Strong relationship management and business development skills. Ability to attract and expand client services. Partnership experience is a plus. Compensation & Benefits
The estimated salary range is $125,000 to $191,000, based on experience, skills, location, and certifications.
