Designing and maintaining data systems and databases; fixing coding errors and other data-related problems. Mining data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read by either human or machine. Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts. Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop policies for data governance. Design and develop data ingestion, aggregation, integration and advanced analytics. Must be willing to travel to set up systems for various clients across the nation, perform feasibility studies, and evaluate user requirements. Experience with data modeling and data integration tools; familiarity with Erwin/ER/Studio, ETL tools (Informatica, SAS, AB Initio, Datastage). Experience with databases such as Amazon RedShift, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, and Hive. Ability to design and develop data ingestion, aggregation, integration and advanced analytics.
