This position is located at the Defense Logistics Agency's Columbus, OH location within the Child and Youth Services Division. This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies throughout the program. Management reserves the right to assign staff to locations as mission requires. Responsibilities

Supervise children and youth aged 6 weeks to 18 years during indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, outings, and special events. Plan, coordinate, and conduct activities based on individual needs; prepare and implement program options for children with special requirements. Instruct team members, provide written instructions, and explain policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with DoD and local standards using evaluation tools; maintain standards for certification and accreditation. Complete required training and perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old at appointment. Must have a valid Social Security Card and be enrolled in Direct Deposit. Meet physical, mental health, and background requirements; provide current health assessment and immunization records. May require a probationary period and annual training completion. Ability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs., walk, bend, and stand regularly. Must report incidents of child abuse/neglect. Trained individuals must be able to administer medications, perform CPR and first aid, and accommodate children with special needs. Travel may be required; work involves indoor and outdoor activities. Complete employment verification and background checks. Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Effective communication skills in English. One of the following: Child Development Associate Credential, Military School Age Credential, Army Youth Practicum, or other recognized Youth Development Credential. Alternatively, two years of experience in a youth program plus 60 semester hours with relevant content; or a bachelor's degree with relevant coursework; or 24 months of working in a childcare/youth program with DoD competency training. Preferred Experience

Experience with accreditation processes, program inspections, working with various age groups, or mentoring staff. Educational Proof

Proof of education must be provided at application; documents for competency training courses include IDP, Foundation certificate, or supervisor memo. Additional Benefits & Incentives

Sign-on bonus: $1,000 (requires training completion, paid after 30 days). Retention bonus: $1,500 (after 12 months, paid quarterly). Referral bonus: $250 (up to $1,000 annually).
