Join to apply for the QC Inspector role at TTE Staffing. We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our high-precision CNC machine shop. The QC Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all machined components meet strict dimensional, cosmetic, and functional requirements as specified by engineering drawings, GD&T standards, and customer specifications. The role requires hands-on use of advanced inspection equipment, detailed documentation, and close collaboration with machinists, programmers, and management to maintain the highest standards of quality and on-time delivery. Responsibilities
Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections on machined parts. Verify conformance to drawings, models, and GD&T requirements with tight tolerances. Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and use precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, etc.). Document inspection results, maintain records, and generate reports in accordance with ISO/AS standards (as applicable). Work with machinists and programmers to provide feedback and resolve quality issues quickly. Review and maintain control of inspection plans, quality documentation, and revision tracking. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes (SCARs, NCRs, etc.). Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality processes and reduce scrap/rework. Ensure compliance with customer, industry, and internal quality requirements. Qualifications
3+ years of quality inspection experience in a precision CNC machine shop (aerospace, defense, or Medical Device Industry Experience Preferred). Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret complex engineering drawings. Hands-on experience with CMM operation/programming. Skilled in the use of precision hand inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, thread gauges, surface plates, etc.). Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality standards. Strong documentation and communication skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (Fulcrum or similar) is a plus. High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently or as part of a team. What We Offer
