Finance & Operations Analyst

The Financial and Operational Analyst will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making by delivering actionable insights through data analysis, reporting, and financial modeling. This position is responsible for identifying trends, variances, and improvement opportunities within financial and operational performance, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and driving results across the organization. Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Modeling: Perform in-depth financial analyses including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and trend identification. Develop and maintain complex Excel-based financial models to support business planning and scenario analysis. Analyze financial and operational KPIs across departments and service lines. Operational Reporting & Insights: Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or other BI tools to visualize performance and identify operational efficiencies. Track and report on key operational metrics such as patient throughput, resource utilization, revenue cycle indicators, etc. Provide data-driven insights to leadership to support continuous improvement initiatives. Data Management & Reporting: Extract and analyze data from multiple systems (EHRs, billing platforms, finance tools). Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of data used in reporting and decision-making. Collaborate with IT and data teams to enhance data accessibility and reporting infrastructure. Cross-Functional Support: Partner with clinical, operational, and administrative teams to understand business needs and provide analytical support. Participate in regular performance review meetings and strategic planning sessions. Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders. Best Practices: Stay updated on healthcare financial trends and analytic methodologies to bring best practices into the organization. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
— Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in financial or operational analysis. Advanced Excel skills. Experience with Power BI (or other data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView). Strong financial modeling and data manipulation skills. Demonstrated ability to interpret data, identify trends, and present findings effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications
— Experience in a healthcare environment (provider, payer, ASC, hospital, etc.). Familiarity with healthcare billing, revenue cycle, or cost accounting. Knowledge of EHR or healthcare-specific systems (e.g., Epic, Athena, Cerner). Understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks and value-based care models. Key Competencies
