Minimum of 4 years’ experience performing close-tolerance mechanical inspections. Experience with metal stamping and fabrication processes (laser cutting, forming, welding, and assembly). Technical Knowledge
Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), with the ability to read, interpret, and apply callouts in the measurement process. Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Skills & Abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurement. Ability to generate clear and accurate inspection and quality reports. Knowledge of quality standards and continuous improvement practices. Duties And Responsibilities
Perform first article inspections (FAI) and FAI layouts on new or revised parts and components. Complete FAI reports with all dimensions and submit to the Quality Engineer for verification. Ensure PPAP and FAI reports meet customer and/or internal requirements. Generate and maintain inspection reports (History Cards) as required. Create and update Initial Process Flow Diagrams, Control Plans, and Failure Mode and Risk Analyses (FMEA). Initiate, track, and document nonconformance reports (NCs). Conduct measurements for statistical process control, capability studies, and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA/Gage R&R) on key characteristics specified by customer prints or specifications. Learn and work in critical modules of the QMS database (UniPoint), including NC, CPA, Inspection & Test, Internal Audit, and Calibration. Perform incoming, in-process, and final audits to ensure products meet engineering specifications. Utilize test and measurement equipment such as optical comparators, micrometers, calipers, thread gages, pin gages, height gages, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Perform gage calibration when required. Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 requirements. Position Details
