Overview
The Manager of Corporate Development is responsible for investment strategy development and transaction execution for the holding company and operating businesses. The person in this role will work in a small team environment and will support all aspects of the organization’s inorganic growth activities, including deal sourcing, evaluation, execution and integration activities. The Manager of Corporate Development will interact directly with HBM senior leadership, portfolio company management, and external advisors & intermediaries. About HBM Holdings

Strategy Development & Deal Sourcing
Collaborate with operating company management to develop growth strategies for the businesses. Perform market research to identify industries and technologies that support the growth strategies of the operating companies and HBM overall. Synthesize available data to develop investment theses and prioritize target recommendations. Develop and foster relationships with investment bankers, buy-side advisors and other key intermediaries to maintain a strong pipeline of inbound acquisition opportunities. Attend industry and banker conferences to increase HBM’s profile as an active strategic acquirer in the industrial middle market. Opportunity Evaluation & Execution
Support the evaluation of strategic acquisitions, divestures and other investment opportunities. Own and maintain the financial modeling and market comparable data to develop and communicate target valuations throughout the deal process. Lead the due diligence process from pre-LOI evaluation to confirmatory diligence and deal closing. Coordinate the transaction activities of external advisors (Legal, Financial, and Commercial, etc.). Present comprehensive business summaries to the HBM Investment Committee at each stage of deal evaluation and due diligence process. Support the negotiation of deal terms, structure and transaction agreements. Work with portfolio company management to successfully integrate acquisitions and drive value creation through operational synergies. Collaborate with operating company teams to support key strategic projects across the portfolio. Qualifications
MBA or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; equivalent experience may be considered. 5+ years building and supporting investment portfolios in the middle market. Prior experience in corporate development, transaction advisory, or investment banking preferred. Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build internal and external relationships up to the C-Level. Ability to clearly articulate ideas and positions to senior business leaders. Collaborative, relationship-oriented, and self-driven with a desire to quickly learn new businesses and industries. Experience with M&A technology tools (VDRs, pipeline management, sourcing/screening tools) Demonstrated ability to work with team members in a hands‑on management capacity. Ability to work effectively through influence in a cross‑functional matrixed environment. Travel up to 20%, including local and overnight trips. Reporting to this position are
