Role Summary Unrivaled Sports, which oversees a diverse portfolio of premier youth sports properties, continues to expand rapidly through both strategic acquisitions and organic growth. To support this momentum, we are seeking a highly motivated Associate to play a key role in the evaluation, diligence, execution, and integration of new investments. Reporting to the Vice President of M&A, this individual will support the full M&A lifecycle, from due diligence and financial modeling to transaction execution, while also serving in a project manager capacity for critical post-close integration workstreams across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations. In addition, this individual will play a key role in broader corporate and strategic finance initiatives, including financial planning, debt financing activities, equity raises, and other capital structure-related projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross‑functional environment.
Key Responsibilities Transaction Diligence & Execution
Assist in all phases of the M&A lifecycle, including the evaluation of potential acquisition opportunities, financial analysis, due diligence, drafting of investment memos, and execution
Coordinate amongst internal teams and external advisors to assess operational, financial, and legal diligence efforts
Support strategic planning through market analysis, competitive landscaping, and identification of emerging sectors and acquisition targets
Own the management and evolution of our acquisition pipeline tracker, ensuring that our deal flow is organized, actionable, and visible to leadership
Integration Planning & Coordination
Operate in a project manager capacity for M&A integration efforts, serving as the connective tissue across departments, ensuring both accountability and alignment
Work closely with functional leadership across HR, Finance, IT, and Operations to collaboratively define key integration needs and deliverables
Develop integration plans tailored by opportunity type and company size
Corporate & Strategic Finance
Support leadership in evaluating and optimizing the company’s capital structure, including scenario modeling, liquidity planning, and capital allocation analyses to inform strategic decision‑making
Contribute to the preparation of investor materials, recurring performance updates, and other external communications
Ideal Candidate Profile
Up to three years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, specifically within M&A or transaction‑focused teams
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and presentation skills, with a solid foundation in deal structuring and valuation
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with proven project management capabilities
Clear, mature, and confident communicator who can engage effectively across the organization
Personally accountable, with a bias for action and a commitment to follow‑through
Able to navigate ambiguity and fast‑paced, dynamic environments
Prior relevant industry experience, with a passion for sports and high‑growth environments
