3PL Traffic Coordinator

Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Compensation:
$21.00 per hour

Job Summary:
The 3PL Traffic Coordinator will be responsible for managing inbound container shipments, ensuring timely and accurate communication, coordination with service providers, and data entry. The individual must thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate Full Container Load (FCL) and Less-than-Container Load (LCL) import shipments
Send arrival notices and create accounts receivable/payable entries per job
Manage door moves and coordinate customs clearance
Verify availability at import Container Freight Station (CFS) and arrange payment for related charges
Track and trace inland and door shipments; maintain accurate status updates in the system
Request refrigerated transport quotes from NVOCC carriers and resolve demurrage issues
Collaborate with overseas agents to resolve discrepancies in shipment quantity or documentation
Review and forward incoming documentation to appropriate parties
Manage multiple client accounts with unique handling instructions and service expectations
Communicate shipment status to clients and co-loaders until cargo is released
Coordinate closely with overseas agents/offices and domestic customers
Gather documentation necessary for customs clearance and final delivery
Maintain timely system updates and communicate delivery details to booking parties
Qualifications
Required:
Strong understanding of ocean freight operations and import documentation
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to handle multiple shipments/accounts daily while maintaining accuracy
Proficiency with logistics systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
1–2 years of experience in import logistics or freight forwarding
Bilingual in English and Spanish
