As a
Business Development Representative (BDR) , you will play a critical role in our sales team by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential customers. You’ll work closely with our marketing and sales teams to find and nurture leads, build relationships, and drive revenue growth. This role is ideal for a motivated, results-driven professional with experience in the HR industry, particularly in offboarding processes, outplacement services or unemployment claims management. Key Responsibilities
Technology-Enabled Lead Generation:
Proactively identify and engage potential clients using HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, Apollo, ZoomInfo, and other prospecting platforms. Smart Qualification:
Conduct discovery calls, leveraging data insights to assess customer fit and prioritize high-potential opportunities. Sales Acceleration:
Use automated workflows and integrated sales tools to streamline meeting scheduling, follow-ups, and hand-offs to Account Executives. Data-Driven CRM Management:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, pipeline activities, and performance metrics in HubSpot—optimizing processes for speed and accuracy. Industry-Informed Outreach:
Apply your HR industry knowledge to craft tailored messaging that resonates with decision-makers. Cross-Team Collaboration:
Partner with marketing to analyze campaign performance, refine messaging, and implement feedback loops that improve conversion rates. Qualifications & Requirements
2+ years in a business development or sales role with proven success, preferably in HR tech, B2B SaaS, or outplacement. Experience with
sales enablement tools
(HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, 6sense, Apollo, ZoomInfo) and CRM best practices. Strong understanding of outbound prospecting, lead qualification, and sales pipeline management in a tech-enabled environment. Ability to translate technology insights into actionable sales strategies. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build rapport and clearly articulate value propositions. Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth startup setting. Willingness to travel ~5 times/year for conferences or business events. Why Join Onwards HR?
