Overview

Join H&R Block as a Team Leader. You will provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. You’ll lead the front-line management of the tax office, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives. You will serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates. What you’ll do

Lead daily activities to ensure tax office associates complete work on time with attention to quality standards, priorities, and goals. Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to execute on Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management. Prepare tax returns, as required. Conduct timely performance reviews and partner with the Associate Relations Center to resolve associate issues and address performance concerns. Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement. Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions. Serve as the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved. Provide leadership and development of tax office associates and act as a resource on tax topics and products. Requirements / Expertise

Prior experience in customer service, shift leadership, or similar roles; experience supervising or managing people. 2+ years as a Tax Professional and, if applicable, successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course. Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet all IRS and state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong customer-centric mindset, adaptability, and resilience; ability to work a flexible schedule and manage assignments based on business needs. High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
