The School Improvement Coordinator will coordinate the development and implementation of events, programs, and projects for students, staff, and the community. The coordinator will also provide guidance and recommend resources to foster a student-focused mindset throughout the Dallas ISD, with a strong emphasis on professional development opportunities and strategic projects.
Prepare communication, develop documents, schedule meetings, and/or update the department’s data tracker as needed for interdepartmental district and/or community meetings.
Collaborate and support the development of defined projects and/or programs utilizing the department’s project plan including defining the scope of work, identifying sponsors/partners, and deliverables. Also, assist in identifying budgetary needs to ensure that deliverables stay on track and within forecasted cost.
Understand and work within the School Improvement Office expectations and requirements, outlined in the School Improvement Office and Policy.
Coordinate, develop, facilitate professional development, and workshops for parents, students, and/or district staff to invest in a student-centered mindset and provide support to department and campus leaders to ensure students receive differentiate and additional support.
Maintain accurate and easily accessible records and artifacts that reflect measurable outcomes for school improvement events, programs and projects.
Identify and coordinate with vendors to expand resources, share or grow initiatives, and increase engagement for students, parents, and stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate school, parent, and/or community meetings that inform the public of School Improvement Office district initiatives and provide specialized support to campuses.
Coordinate the development and implementation of School Improvement programs and projects to engage internal and external stakeholders aimed at continually improving students' academic performance.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university and three years of directly related experience in professional development and implementation, and coordinating events, projects, programs. A Valid Texas Teacher Certificate is preferred.
Ability to meet deadlines and motivate/support stakeholders and staff, tact, diplomacy and flexibility.
Superior verbal communication and relationship skills with strong customer-service orientation.
Experience in education and community environments.
