oversees the day-to-day technical operations of the Radiation Therapy department, supports the organizational mission, priorities and goals, and ensures delivery of cost-effective, quality care services. Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and implement strategic business and marketing plans to best meet and grow volume. Assists with annual capital budget development and implements best practices in resource management. Works with Radiation Oncology leadership, faculty, residents, physics division staff, and Cancer Center leaders as required. The Manager - Radiation Therapy oversees the day-to-day technical operations of the department, supports the organizational mission and goals, and ensures cost-effective, high-quality care. Directly manages the radiation therapists responsible for delivering treatment, ensuring staff are trained and competent to use equipment and techniques in accordance with regulatory standards and departmental protocols. Collaborates with senior leadership on strategic plans to meet and grow volume. Assists with capital budgets and resource management. Coordinates with Radiation Oncology leadership, faculty, residents, physics staff, and Cancer Center leaders. Manages radiation therapy services across sites or a large unit. What You Will Do

Anticipate and facilitate patient flow within the department and ensure appropriate utilization of resources prioritizing safe patient care and cost effectiveness. Plan and implement radiotherapy treatment for cancer patients. Collaborate with Radiation Oncology leadership to achieve targets and standardized practices across the enterprise. Develop and maintain policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and departmental standards. Ensure correct charge capture and documentation at point of service; educate and coach on billing and documentation related to simulation and treatment delivery. Maintain current knowledge of radiation oncology treatment modalities and billing practices. Monitor expenses by reviewing monthly budget reports and reconciling with purchases; focus on volume, revenue, and expenses. Maintain statistics and reports; analyze referral, volume, revenue, and patient satisfaction data to identify gaps and opportunities. Continuously monitor workflow to improve quality, safety, and efficiency using PDCA and A3 problem solving. Establish and maintain performance standards for technical operations; ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Manage supply inventory, storage, usage, and equipment maintenance; assess space needs and manage renovations when needed. Order supplies and prepare related paperwork; participate in capital budget planning. Recruit, retain, evaluate staff, and support payroll verification and competencies. Provide educational sessions and support continuing education for the team. Schedule maintenance of equipment and collaborate with vendors to ensure service terms are met. Oversee and maintain service contracts for equipment in the treatment area. Participate in and potentially lead departmental committees; solicit patient feedback to identify improvements. Set goals aligned with Tier 3, Cancer Service Line, and organizational strategies and report progress and outcomes. Participate in equipment replacement projects and ensure on-time, on-budget completion. Perform other departmental duties as assigned. Education Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in a work-related discipline/field from an accredited college or university Experience Qualifications

Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Ability to budget, make financial projections and write reports Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus Ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues Ability to plan, prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to provide leadership and influence others Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal and personnel management Licenses and Certifications
