Project Manager, Local Infrastructure/Public Works
Halff has an opening for a Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to be a Project Manager on our growing Local Infrastructure/Public Works team based out of our Lubbock, TX office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 5 years of experience in Local Infrastructure/Public Works or Land Development with a solid background in stormwater analysis. This position requires strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with public entities. What You Will Do Responsible for managing and overseeing the planning, design and construction of local infrastructure projects including municipal roadways, trails, storm drains, drainage studies, master drainage plans and utilities. This position requires strong design experience and prefers project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities. Conduct and manage design and plan production. Manage clients and supervise technical staff. Provide training/mentorship of other engineers. What You Will Need Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas or transferable within 2 months At least 5 years of experience in local infrastructure/public works, municipal roadway, drainage, and pedestrian facility design projects Strong experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D Strong technical H&H knowledge Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS required 2-D H&H modeling experience preferred Experience managing design and plan production Ability to manage clients and supervise technical staff Strong technical writing and communication skills Experience in project scope development, professional services fee development and staffing projects is a plus Ability to work in a team environment with multiple offices and various disciplines A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success The Halff Local Infrastructure/Public Works Advantage Diverse and interdisciplinary teams can manage projects from inception through completion.
