Position Summary Support the creation of an overall supply plan for specific plant(s) and 3rd party suppliers within the franchise scope. Interface with production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to ensure an integrated approach to supply planning. Lead responses to business demand requirements, ensuring a supply plan is in place to communicate production and purchasing needs to manufacturing and supply base.
Responsibilities
Support creation of a Master Resource Plan based on the latest demand signal for up to a 24‑month horizon.
Ensure sufficient raw materials and components are available to meet the required supply plan.
Support creation of capacity plans to identify potential bottlenecks, supply risks, and underutilization impacting costs.
Develop and recommend proposals to mitigate capacity constraints or risks.
Initially responsible for a limited number of products/segments, with close supervision and coaching during development phase.
Work under the Supply Planning Manager to set correct inventory levels (safety stocks) based on demand volatility and supply chain lead times.
Track execution of the supply plan with production scheduling and procurement to ensure operationalization and performance monitoring.
Mitigate back orders and proactively communicate future supply risks.
Ensure accurate phase‑in and phase‑out planning for products, maintaining communication with the business on product portfolio status.
Support effective communication between supply and demand planning, confirming capability to meet demand requirements via daily, weekly, and monthly review processes.
Maintain all core supply planning master data to focus efforts on real supply issues.
Monitor and report KPIs including Supply Plan Attainment, Safety Stock Health, Capacity Utilization, Back Orders, Lead Time, Product Availability / Service Level.
Conduct root cause analysis on performance issues and recommend corrective actions to the Supply Planning Manager/Leader.
