This job is 100% remote
Business Development, BURmastic/Modified Bitumen (BUR/MB), will drive sales (demand, adoption, and growth) for their assigned market segment and technologies. Collaboration with key internal stakeholders, building and maintaining essential tools, market positioning, training, and education is required. Business Development, (BUR/MB), will be a thought leader and subject matter expert for current, future, and/or related technologies, providing strategic direction, and promoting system selling to drive growth.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review each individual Roofing field sales (annual) business plan.
Participate in local Roofing field sales teams, regional sales leadership, and roofing field sales training to
drive growth via Rule-of-10's and project-specific activity.
Act as a technical expert for related technologies in the assigned area and market segment.
Leverage industry, segment, and/or product knowledge to identify gaps in the product line and present opportunities for development and growth.
Provide leadership, creative guidance, and collaborate on pre-launch needs and post-launch support, including testing, certification, warranties, collateral, literature, case studies, and success stories.
Collaborate with Sales to create and execute plans to increase sales knowledge and drive revenue, including existing products, new product launches, and acquired products.
Work with the Learning team on content for our qualified applicator program (QAPs) and general industry training, including targeting contractors for technical trainings.
Coordinate with Marketing Communications on marketing campaigns to meet objectives and generate leads.
Partner with Corporate Development and Strategy groups on strategy maps and business plans.
Identify and prioritize M&A targets based on strategic initiatives.
Drive integration of acquired products into sales initiatives.
Collaborate with Strategy and R&D teams on next-generation technology.
Create, implement, and train on value calculators.
Participate in industry associations and trade shows as appropriate.
Provide regular updates on activities, initiatives, outcomes, and KPIs.
Continuously enhance technical knowledge through self-study, industry networks, and research.
REQUIREMENTS:
Deep knowledge of assigned market segment and technologies.
Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Strong industry understanding, market trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences.
Excellent communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
High initiative and sense of urgency.
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, climb ladders, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 lbs.
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION: Starting at an average base salary of $117,000, with potential variation based on location, experience, and performance. Includes performance bonuses, health insurance, paid holidays and vacation, 401(k) with match, pension, continuing education, and more.
