Budget Title: Senior Staff Assistant (SL-3). Salary: $56,000 - $60,000. Office of Student Affairs Assessment and Solutions for Engagement (SAASE) at Binghamton University is seeking an Assessment and Support Coordinator to join the office. SAASE supports a dynamic Division of Student Affairs by building a data infrastructure, designing assessment, and developing analysis that enhances the co-curricular experience of Binghamton's diverse student population. The work of the office includes traditional assessment as well as data analytics, data visualization, outreach and professional development, and developing statistical models and analysis to support major divisional initiatives. The office also maintains "B-Engaged", a tool to facilitate and centralize co-curricular experiences for Binghamton students. The successful candidate will use a wide variety of platforms and statistical tools to support the work of the office and the division including Qualtrics, B-Engaged, and the R programming language. Responsibilities
Work with the Director of SAASE to organize assessment activity and needs across the division of Student Affairs. Work with individual units to develop and maintain recurring and ad-hoc assessment projects to meet their needs. Plan, organize, market, and administer data collection efforts for key divisional and university projects. Support student affairs units in the development of their annual assessment plans. Provide support and training to divisional colleagues on various assessment tools and platforms. Assist with the development of documentation for key divisional data systems and assessment projects. Support the general administrative and organizational needs within the office and act as a liaison between the Director and other university staff with respect to administrative matters. Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to synthesize complex processes and systems for a broad audience. Demonstrate the ability to communicate and present data concepts in a clear and concise fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills. Requirements
Bachelor\'s degree in the social sciences, business or a related field Experience using a statistical programming language to create reproducible reports, data summaries and visualizations Understanding of social science research methods and the ability to answer research and assessment questions Ability to understand and implement the various aspects of an assessment project including: data collection, data cleaning and manipulation, data analysis, and the presentation of results Preferred
Master\'s degree in the social sciences, business or a related field At least one year of professional or paraprofessional experience (may include GA and internship experience) Experience using R to develop reproducible reports, data summaries and visualizations Experience building surveys using Qualtrics and analyzing survey data Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
