Responsibilities
Join as a Team Leader to provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
Serve as the front-line manager to provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives.
Advance knowledge and skills to excel with us, serving as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates.
Lead daily activities to ensure all tax office associates complete work on time with attention to quality standards, priorities, and goals.
Build an engaging team environment by training and coaching associates to meet Service Standards and recognize outstanding contributions.
Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.
Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management.
Prepare tax returns, as required, and conduct timely performance reviews; partner with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.
What you\'ll bring to the team
Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office associate positions.
Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
High school diploma / equivalent or higher; annual completion of continuing education as required by IRS and applicable state requirements.
Computer proficiency with MS Office and tax-related software; knowledge of tax topics and products for associates.
Your Expertise
Prior experience in a customer service, shift leader, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people.
Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
