Responsibilities
Join as a Team Leader to provide leadership to a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office.
Serve as front-line manager to provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives.
Act as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates and help advance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industry.
2+ years as a Tax Professional.
Prior experience in customer service or supervisory/management roles.
Ability to meet IRS/state requirements and complete required tax education.
Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently.
High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
What you’ll bring to the team
Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, develop local partnerships, and manage office community involvement.
Assist in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
Serve as point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure proper scheduling.
Lead daily activities to meet deadlines, maintain quality standards, and support service objectives.
Coach and train associates, lead daily team meetings, and manage schedules with accurate timekeeping.
Prepare tax returns as required and conduct timely performance reviews.
Your Expertise
Customer service or shift-leader experience; demonstrated supervision/management ability.
Tax knowledge assessment or Income Tax Course completion (if preparing tax returns).
Annual continuing education to meet IRS/state requirements.
Strong communication, independence, and a customer-centric mindset.
Flexible schedule and ability to adapt to business needs.
