Lead a customer-centric team of associates and accelerate seasonal tax business by managing a single H&R Block tax office. Provide leadership and development of tax office associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving office growth objectives. Serve as a knowledgeable resource on tax topics and products for associates and advance knowledge and skills to excel in the role. Lead daily team meetings, communicate essential information, and create associate work schedules with accurate timekeeping and overtime management. Train and coach associates to execute Service Standards, recognize outstanding contributions, and manage deadlines with attention to quality and priorities. Be the point of contact for onsite escalated client service concerns and ensure clients are scheduled properly with conflicts resolved. Recruiting and interviewing for tax office associate positions in collaboration with leadership as needed. Prepare tax returns, as required, and conduct timely performance reviews; address performance concerns in coordination with appropriate channels. Your Expertise

Prior experience in a customer service, shift lead, or similar role; experience supervising or managing people. Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course* (if preparing tax returns). Annual completion of continuing education and ability to meet IRS and applicable state requirements. Computer proficiency with MS Office; ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High school diploma / equivalent or higher; flexible schedule and adaptability to business needs. What you’ll bring to the team

Partner with District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement. Assist the District General Manager in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions. Lead daily activities to ensure timely completion of work with quality standards and goals. Build an engaging team environment with training and coaching to meet Service Standards. Prepare associate schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and overtime management. Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates. Conduct timely performance reviews and address associate issues as needed.
