Airfield Management Operations Supervisor (USN)
Seeking a full-time Airfield Management Operations Supervisor / Shift Lead (AMSL) in support of Base Operations Services (BOS) and Mission Support Services (MSS) at Ascension Auxiliary Air Field (AAAF). Responsibilities
Coordinate with aircraft crews, air traffic control and various base agencies to ensure safe operation of aircraft in the airfield environment and through national and international airspace.
Procure, maintain and produce information on safe operation of aircraft through the national and international airspace system.
Provide Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), local airfield and navigational status, weather information and flight following services.
Direct, assist and provide aircrews with information and services to accomplish operation activities relating to airfield management and flight planning.
Coordinate with other agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation and transient aircraft maintenance.
Perform “Reception, Staging, Onward movement and Integration” (RSO&I) functions for transiting aircraft and crews.
Plan and oversee the execution of any additional services requested by the customer.
Assist the Airfield Commanders or Senior Airfield Authority (SAA) as needed.
Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Computer skills and ability to operate a variety of computer programs.
Fluent English speaking, reading and writing.
Valid driver’s license from home country, valid for 12 months from employment date.
Valid passport from home country, valid for 12 months from employment date.
Authorized entry onto U.S. military installations.
United States Department of Defense medical requirements.
USN with a SECRET security clearance.
3 years of experience executing Airfield Management Operations Supervisor (AMOS) and/or Shift Lead (AMSL) duties, and USAF AMSL/AMOS certification (or equivalent).
Knowledge of airfield planning and design criteria, aircraft operations and airfield management regulations.
Knowledge of ICAO and U.S. federal and military air regulations, flight data and NOTAM systems preferred.
Familiar with navigational aids, basic aircraft design characteristics, fundamentals of meteorology and principles of organization and management of airfield operational areas.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and advanced organizational skills.
