Idaho Conservation Corps (ICC) provides opportunities for youth and young adults to learn, grow, and experience success through conservation—regardless of experience or background. ICC, a statewide program of Northwest Youth Corps (NYC), applies a combination of service, education, and career coaching to help youth and young adults protect, restore, and enhance public lands and waterways in the Gem State and our Northwest neighbor states. Annually, NYC crews carry out 180,000 hours of projects such as wildfire fuels reduction, invasive plant removal, riparian planting, stream restoration, tree planting, and trail maintenance for a variety of federal, state, and local partners. Participants leave Idaho Conservation Corps knowing that they can overcome obstacles, make friends, and succeed in their chosen career path. POSITION DESCRIPTION

Idaho Conservation Corps – AmeriCorps 640 Hour Individual Placement Bureau of Land Management - Boise District Position Summary: The Four Rivers Field Office of Boise District BLM is recruiting

one, 640-hour

Endangered Species Habitat Monitoring AmeriCorps Member beginning August 4 th , 2025 through November 21 st , 2025. Work would occur within the Snake River Plain focusing on habitat inventory, exclosure repair and monitoring all for the threatened species Slickspot Peppergrass ( Lepidium papilliferum ). Completion of this work would benefit a broad array of plant and wildlife species while increasing opportunity for restoration and other multiple use activities throughout the Snake River Plain. JOB DUTIES

Duties and Responsibilities: Specific activities include: Presence/absence of slickspot peppergrass habitat, slick spots, using tablets with Survey123 and Field Maps software and uploading data to ArcPro. (40%) Fenceline mapping and repair and photo monitoring of Habitat Enhancement Area (HEA) and Ecological Restoration Area (ERA) exclosures throughout Snake River Plain (40%) Rangeland Trend monitoring, restoration work, and other types of work commonly completed by seasonal employees (20%) Team leadership skills - Ability to oversee day-to-day operations while engaging in work with crews; monitor crew performance and report out on metrics; motivate team members; listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts; create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture REQUIREMENTS CONTACT INFORMATION RELATED JOBS
