Overview
Mooseheart Child City and School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Dean of Students to support and enhance a positive school culture. The Dean of Students is a key leadership position focused on student discipline, behavior support, policy implementation, and fostering strong relationships across campus. This individual plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment, while supporting both academic and behavioral success for all students. Key Responsibilities
Promote and enforce the school’s code of conduct through fair and consistent practices. Conduct administrative interventions and maintain accurate behavioral records. Support teachers with classroom management strategies and behavioral planning. Collaborate with Family Teachers, counselors, and the School/Home Liaison to support student needs. Monitor daily attendance and follow up on student absences. Organize and supervise student activities, including athletic events and school dances. Participate in training and implementation of the Mooseheart Model of Care. Assist with planning faculty meetings and onboarding of new staff. Serve as a visible and approachable presence throughout the school day. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 3–5 years of relevant experience in a school setting, with leadership or behavioral responsibilities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and student development skills. Familiarity with restorative practices and trauma-informed care preferred. Knowledge of or experience with the Mooseheart Model of Care is a plus. Must be at least 21 years of age. Why Join Mooseheart?
