Job Summary The Student Media Lab Monitor oversees the School of Arts and Letter¿s various campus media labs, ensuring a safe space for students working on multimedia projects. This role involves assisting users with media production tools and software and upholding lab policies and procedures. Responsibilities
Assist students with audio/video editing, graphic design, animation, and other media software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, RiversideFM, etc.) Maintain and troubleshoot media lab equipment, including cameras, microphones, and editing stations Monitor lab activity to ensure safe and respectful use of shared resources Provide technical support for printing, scanning, or rendering projects Collaborate with faculty and staff to support class projects and lab-based assignments Report equipment issues, supply needs, and incidents to lab management Be cordial to all students, staff, faculty and visitors entering the office Must be available for evening and Saturday morning lab hours Required Qualifications
Minimum GPA of 2.0 Be currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University for at least 6 credit hours Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress Preferred Qualifications
Enrolled as a student at Middle Georgia State University in Media, Communication, or related field Basic experience with media production tools and editing software preferable Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
