ATI is the world-leading engineering-based developer of robotic accessories and robot arm tooling, including Automatic Tool Changers, Multi-Axis Force/Torque Sensing Systems, Utility Couplers, Material Removal Tools, Robotic Collision Sensors, Manual Tool Changers, and Compliance Devices. Our robot end-effector products are found in thousands of successful applications around the world. Since 1989, our team of mechanical, electrical, and software engineers has been developing cost-effective, state-of-the-art end-effector products and solutions that improve robotic productivity.The F/T Electrical Technician is a hands-on position that supports ATI product evaluation, testing, and provides force torque and electrical support. Ideal for a highly motivated, technically oriented included individual, this position is responsible for evaluating ATI products (F/T Sensors and associated electronic devices) using standard and custom test equipment (Voltmeter, Cable-eye test, calibration and testing equipment, etc.). The successful candidate will clearly document evaluation results timely, with accuracy and confidence.**Responsibilities*** Follow a standard operating procedure for receiving ATI product via RMA (Return Material Authorization) system.* Produce evaluation reports that clearly document and communicate the test results, for use with internal and external customers* Perform precision measurements and testing on product using voltmeters, F/T Electronic units, and other devices.* Follow the required protocol for testing to industry (ISO, etc.), customer or internal standards for ATI mechanical parts.**Qualifications*** Associates Degree in a technical related curriculum preferred, may consider 5+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree.* Prior experience reading engineering drawings.* Troubleshooting F/T and electrical products, as well as performing repairs.* Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and able to write clear and accurate test reports.* Strong verbal and written communication skills required as this position will have frequent interactions with internal colleagues from Engineering, Sales, Quality and Marketing.* Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.* Position may require some over-time.Novanta is proud to be an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action workplace.
